Once the admission in a college is seeked and all the necessary formalities have been fulfilled comes the most dreaded moment for the girls (not that guys are not nervous but they apply their common sense a little more than the girls)the first day to the college…….. Well out of the many problems faced by a fresher apart from making quality friends is the dress up options……. Dreaming about messing up your wear, even before the first counseling, don’t worry those are just the first jitters.. the movie is still bakee mere dost..
So are you planning on wearing that gaudy salwar suit of yours you wore on your chacha’s wedding recently… with those BIG loops of gold in your ears with matching sandals.. and that golden purse you bought.. PLEASE..STOP
No offence but you are about to declared the Fashion Disaster of the Year in the college already…… and you the one who gets the Bhenji Tag as well…. If you think people will praise your beauty like they did at the wedding…. Sorry to disappoint you sweetheart…. But this is D.U. and not some fat Indian wedding were people would appreciate a ‘Gold clad Chori’…. This is the place we welcome a classy, elegant and stylish chick…..
When I said chick... are you thinking about the short tank top of yours.. with those sexy pants???? Frankly speaking that’s a big NOOOOO…. You don’t want the guys eating out of your hand right? Do you??? So forget about that……..
Now what about making a cool statement without overdoing is the major question that clouds many minds…… right?????????

RULE 1
First of all dump all the gaudy looking suits of yours………… sorry……. But to gain something you got to loose some things too…now go to Westside or Janpat or Sarojini Nagar to get those classy kurtis… if you are soooo much wanting the Indian look….
These kurtis can be paired best with jeans………. Or tights……
So go ahead and become an Indian diva……..
RULE 2
NO wearing of the golden loops in your ears……. Instead go to Janpat and Sarojini Nagar market and get those stylish colorful loops and maybe even those anklets…. But wear the anklet only in one foot……………. You don’t want to be bhenji again, right?????? If you like get some big wooden bangles to team up with your dresses… they surely look classy….
RULE 3
You really have to walk a hell around the campus everyday so those sandals get outside the cupboard and go in the bin along with the heels…now what you need is a pair of floaters or shoes………….. which are obviously the symbol of style and sporty look… The shoes are preferably the campus shoes….. And go ahead experiment with the various colors of red, blue, yellow, etc… make your own style statement…..
RULE 4
Those gaudy looking bags should be banned in my opinion….. carrying those bags at a time when the sun is shining right at the top of your head and that too in its full force……makes them nothing less than a fashion disaster..
Go with bags with fresh colors like blue, yellow, grey, etc…. If they are inconvenient go with the jholas available at janpat at affordable prices… You can even go with the bag packs from Nike…. Trust me they are awesome….And to add to the funky look attach those adorable key chains on them. Go with the large bags instead of the small ones….
Follow these rules and you’ll surely make a style statement…………….
